Update on Postponed Winter/Spring Session

Hello Dynamo Winter/Spring Families,

We are reaching out to say we hope you and your family are in good health and that we are looking forward to seeing our members back in the gym experiencing the wonderful sport of gymnastics.

As promised, we are messaging those registered in our Winter/Spring 2021 session to provide an update on the status of the session, which has been postponed due to restrictions placing our region in the Red-Control category of the government’s Covid-19 Response Framework. (This category designation only permits sports and recreational programs to host 10 people indoors at a time.)

Unfortunately, we cannot yet confirm a new start date for the session, as we are still awaiting news about when capacity restrictions will be lifted to allow our recreational programs to resume. As always, we are optimistic and are ready to move quickly to re-open when we receive the go-ahead to resume recreational programs.

Today, we are also contacting members registered in the Winter/Spring session to do our best to ensure everyone is informed regarding fees already paid for this postponed session, and more importantly, to reassure members that they will not have to pay for classes we are unable to offer due to the postponement.

We appreciate everyone’s finances are a little tighter during this pandemic, so we are taking the following steps to compensate our loyal members due to a modified session:

  •  On a weekly basis, Dynamo will place class fee credits on online family accounts to reflect classes not offered as part of a now-shortened Winter/Spring session. (This session cannot extend past the end of June.)
  •  Dynamo will reduce the Gymnastics Ontario/Dynamo Admin fee of $56.50 by 50% to $28.25 for members who paid the mandatory fee for the first time in the 2020-2021 gymnastics season when registering in the Winter/Spring session. Credits for this reduction will be placed on accounts.

About Credits: Please note account credits do not expire and can be used toward payments for any programs or merchandise at Dynamo.

We know this pandemic has been hard on everyone, especially our young participants who are missing opportunities to engage socially and physically in community programs like sport. We’ve been flooded with calls and emails from our members who desperately want to see their kids back in the gym and to say all fingers are crossed that we’ll be able to re-open soon. We’re with you. We know the value sport and recreation offer our youth, so please know we are here waiting for you when restrictions allow us to re-open, and we are so grateful for all your support.

Rest assured we are closely monitoring government announcements and will communicate updates as soon as they’re available. Updates will be communicated via email, website and social media posts.
